The Wait
Waiting is “tending to”. It is something that cannot be touched by hand. It is limbo — neither to be nor not to be. What I have tried to capture is that sense of suspension that exists in the moment that precedes action but is also after something — that silence that speaks more than many words. In this day and age, we have often lost the ability to wait. We saturate downtime as if it were impossible to take advantage of waiting, to enjoy it as if it were a precious commodity. In this project, I try to capture the sense of immobility that freezes my characters in time: they wait.
